Orange and LA Counties

This is a part-time, on-call position. Perfect for those with very flexible work schedules who can be available during regular working hours on weekdays and Saturdays. If you are currently employed and working full-time, this position would not be a good fit for you or us.
We are are 17-year established, highly reputable professional organizing and life transition company specializing in working with clients and their families having moderate to severe clutter and hoarding disorder issues.
Due to an increased work load in the Los Angeles and Orange County area, we are looking for a part-time, on-call assistant with a great work ethic, a nonjudgmental and compassionate attitude, and a clean background (no felonies, misdemeanors, or drug charges) to work with our team manager and owner in clearing clutter, hauling trash, some moderate-to-heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs), sorting, organizing as needed, and working in environments requiring repetitive tasks in less than ideal or clean environments.
Yes, it's like the reality show "Hoarders"—in many cases much worse.

This is NOT a cleaning job, but if you have worked in homes with hoarding and clutter issues and are not offended by intense living situations—including grime, gross filth, dust, and animals—we would like to hear from you. If you have any physical limitations, such as severe allergies or back problems, this would definitely not be a good position for you, as the tasks required could exacerbate your medical issues.
You must be able to follow instructions exactly as given to you, since all of our projects are difficult and highly sensitive, and we cannot compromise the integrity of the project with "independent thinkers" who have different ways of doing something or are judgmental in any way.

The successful candidate will be required to sign a release of liability waiver. Detailed background checks are conducted on all candidates. Drugs and alcohol are strictly prohibited on all jobs sites and immediate cause for termination.

- Be available to work long hours when required (some evenings and Saturdays)
- Must pass a background check
- Must have a reliable vehicle and cell phone with text capacity and be prompt to all job sites (if you require public transportation, we cannot consider you due to the location of many projects)

- Highly detail oriented
- Solid listening and communication skills are critical
- Respectful of clients in all situations
- Compassionate about the client's suffering from the effects of a hoarding situation
